A Monument To God

Joshua 4:21; “And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones”?
In the Old Testament stones were frequently used to make a monument to remind future generations about God’s salvation and His grace toward His people. It was very important for future generations to know and understood this. God did many things for the people of Israel and they wanted them to have something to remind them to tell their children of certain things that happened. The great things God had done for them.

Is it important for to you to tell your children of all the things God has done for you? Believers today can choose certain things or places as a tribute to remind them of the things God has done for them. It could be something that would aid in teaching the children how to rely on God for guidance, strength, and help throughout their life.

Has there been anyone in the family or a friend that has had an illness that the Lord has healed? Has anyone needed help financially and Lord has helped them with, or has someone needed guidance in an important decision and God has led them in the direction they should go? There are so many things God has helped each one of us, our families, and friends with and we should let our children know about it so they will know where to go as they grow up and become adults. Sometimes the Lord will work and speak through the Holy Spirit in a child’s life, this is so important to let other children know it just isn’t in adults (Mommy and Daddy’s) lives that He works.

God will always have the desire for people to be concerned about the faith of their children. We need to always make sure our children know of God’s power and faithfulness. What better way to show our children of this than to have a monument of some sorts to have a visual way of showing them?

The way the world is that we live in today we need to teach and show our children of God’s love, power, grace, and faithfulness. The dark one is just waiting for us NOT to teach and show our children of God’s great love. If we teach them while they are young, if they happen to drift away they will return to the ways of the Lord. Do we dare take a chance with the lives of our children?

Thank you for stopping by. May you always know the love, joy, and peace of the Lord!

We need to always remember to praise God for His miracles and healings. We can praise Him by telling our children. Great reminder!

My life philosophy...walk the walk of the talk you talk. If you 'talk' being a Christian...you'd better 'walk' the same because your children...the world...everyone...is watching your walk. If it doesn't line up with your talk, then they won't believe the talk! Too many times we tell our kids, do as I say, not as I do. That doesn't work! I love that when you get a child completely sold out to Jesus...eventually you will get the parents! It has happened over and over in my experience! God DOES work through children!!!!
