It Has Been Quite Awhile

Well, it has been awhile since I have posted on God's blog so thought I would try to post something. I may not post every day but will try to post something two or three times a week.

First of all I want to thank those of you that have inquired about me in one way or another. You will never know how much I appreciated your concern. Thank of you for your prayers, they have been greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!

Things have been going pretty well here. Dave has completed his treatments and will be going to see the doctor on the 21st of this month to see how things are going. He has felt pretty good but has been extremely tired. Thanks to all that have remembered him in your prayers, we certainly appreciate them very much.

My surgery went well. I am on the way to recovery and I know the Lord has been and is with us at all times. I just want it all done in my time but I know it will be done in God's time. I praise the Lord as He knows what He is doing even if we can't see or understand everything He is doing.

I would like to share something rather funny with you. When it was much warmer I was setting outside where I have my quiet time with the Lord and I was praying for God to take the pain away from my hips. About that time an ant went crawling by my feet and I thought "I am so glad I don't have the legs ants have as I am sure they have hips and if I had that many I would really be hurting". I know very little about ants but like I thought they surely have hips and at least I don't have that many so I started praising the Lord that I only have two hips to hurt. Perhaps the Lord was trying to tell me the pain could be much worse. If we are open to hear the Lord we can learn many things, I am glad even though I was hurting I was able to see that things could be worse. I thank the Lord for being able to see something funny to make things better.

Not all has been good. I had to have TriPod, my cat of 14 years put down. There were quite a few people that didn't really care for him but he was mine and he was a lover. He was afraid of most people but would come to me whenever I called him. The thing that bothers me is that when I took him to the doctor the doctor looked at me and asked if TriPod could see. I told him as far as I knew he could, his eyes looked so beautiful. When the doctor examined him he told me that TriPod was blind. I don't know how I could have missed it as he never ran into things and when someone came close to him he would move. TriPod had only three legs, we had to have the back left leg removed but it didn't change him at all. He was still a lover and was mine. I love him very much and miss him. I do have TriPod's sister, Chubba. She is a lot smaller than what TriPod was but she is a beautiful cat and I love her very much.

Pat, my high school friend had surgery for cancer in October. We don't know much of what is going on as of right now. She has an appointment with the doctor Wednesday and she will find out more. We do know she will have radiation once she has healed. Pat is one that was very seldom sick so this is extremely hard for her as she tires so easily. She is used to being able to do whatever she wants to.

Jason, a very dear friend of ours had an accident. A 5,000 pound safe fell on his leg and he had to have part of his leg amputated. My goodness, this young man is a really strong willed person. Instead of sitting around feeling sorry for himself he is doing things for himself. He is quite a young man and I know without a doubt the Lord is the One that is helping him get through this.

Sometimes we think something is impossible for God; there is NOTHING impossible for Him. We think this at times because we forget God works in His time and not ours. Jeremiah 32:27; "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me"? Even though things look bleak we need to keep our faith and pray continually to the Lord, He hears our every word. God can do anything and He does many times over. We should depend on His word at all times even though we may not know exactly how it will be accomplished.

Hope all of you have a great day and weekend. May you always know the love, joy, and peace of the Lord!

I, too, am glad you are back. I thoroughly enjoy reading your posts! I know it's been a rough few months for you and Daddy, but you have never lost your faith and that's one of the things I love about you. You may not understand, you may hurt...but you always stay firm in your faith and know that God is in control!

I love you and am so glad to have you writing again!

I'm so glad to see you posting again Deane! I was a bit concerned about you and your husband following your last post, but Jenifer was kind enough to let me know you were doing ok. It sounds as if you've certainly had an eventful few months, and I'm lifting thanks to the Lord that He's seen you all through these trials.

Nonetheless, welcome back, and I look forward to reading more from you as you're able!

Have a Blessed day dear lady!
