Who Is God II

Yesterday I was writing about Who Is God, today I am writing on the same subject. If I were to write about Who Is God I would have to write about it everyday for quite some time. There would never be enough time to write about Him. So, this is only things in part about who God is.

God takes care of us. As God picks up a lamb and carries it close to His heart to protect it, He does this with us also. God cares for each of us in a personal way. God is so great but we should never feel He ignores us as His children. Isaiah 40:11; "He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young." What an awesome thing for Him to do for us!

God showers us with His love. I John 3:1; "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not." I am so excited just knowing that I am a son of God, but so many things about God can really get me excited.

Matthew 6:31-33; "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? v. 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all things. v.33 Bust seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." If we should feel we need something then pray, God already knows what we need and He will provide. He may not provide exactly what we want but he will provide. The next thing we need to do is to give Him praise and thank Him for what He does provide for us.

We receive blessing after blessing from God and He continues to do for us in abundance. It says in Ephesians 3:20; "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." This would depend on the degree of the Holy Spirit's presence, power, and grace operating in our life.

I John 4:16; "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." God's love for us is far beyond our understanding. As I stated yesterday, He gave His only Son for us, this was so we could be reconciled with Him. This is a love that is far beyond my understanding even though I know He loved us that much.

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever," this is found in Hebrews 13:8. How many times have we said to someone, "boy she/he has sure changed?" Yes, we do change from time to time and sometimes more often than that. But God is the same today as He was when the world was created and He will always be the same. We don't have to worry that one day He will come up with something else and then we have to start all over again. Isn't it great to know this?

As I said in the beginning, there is not enough time to tell everything about God. We just know He is great, awesome, wonderful, merciful, forgiving, helpful, loving, and the list could go on forever. Isn't it wonderful that we have Him in our lives?

I don't think we will ever see or know ALL of God's attributes until we reach Heaven. I am so glad He never changes...He was, He is and He always will be...the same...never changing! Praise His name! Thank you for sharing.

That question has been asked for thousands of years, it goes back to the book of Genesis..and though we have the bible until we get to heaven we will be so rejoicful that the last thing we are wanting to know is all about who God is for we will be worshiping Him in His full glory,
