Miracles

John 9:16; Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the Sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them."

This miracle happened on the Sabbath and people weren't supposed to work on that day but Jesus healed the blind man by spitting on the ground and making clay out of the spittle and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. Jesus told him to go wash in the pool of Siloam. The man did this and went away seeing.

Jesus raises Lazarus. John 11:43-44; "And when he thus had spoken, He cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. v44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go."

Aren't miracles just awesome? When I read of the miracles Jesus preformed I just get so excited. When I think about it, the miracles I hear of today really get me excited. Miracles happen every single day. Have you ever thought about the miracles that happen each and everyday? We take a lot of these miracles as just an every day occurrence, when we do this we really miss out on all the excitement.

There are two miracles that happen every day that I can think of at this moment. The first one is the birth of a baby. How great this is. This baby has been in a dark and secluded area for nine months and then when this baby is born it is a perfect human being that God has blessed us with. I say perfect because it is a perfect, loving, and wonderful being God has given us, one that He has created for us. Now sometimes this baby is not perfect in the sense that some think is perfect but to me since God gave this child to me or to someone it is the way God has allowed it to be. Something doesn't have to look or be perfect to be someone awesome. This child is to be treasured forever and to be taken care of by us, the ones God has given this child to.

What about the miracle when a woman has multiple babies at the same time? Wow, that is just an extra miracle on top of one. Praise the Lord.

The second miracle is the miracle of healing. I know there are healing miracles as Dave, my husband is living proof, Kendil, my granddaughter is another one, and Brian, my grandson is another one. Dave was healed of cancer in 1996 and he is still living. Kendil had the cord wrapped around her neck when she was born and was actually chocked to death, she was brought back to life and is still living and is now married with two children and is also a nurse. Debi and Jim, Brian's parents took him to the doctor as he was ill and the doctor immediately sent them to the hospital with congestive heart failure and was afraid he wouldn't make it to the hospital. Prayers were immediately sent to heaven and when they got him to the hospital the doctor wanted to know why they brought him in. The doctor said his heart was fine.

We have had many miracles in our family. I praise the Lord for each one of them. I believe we may have other miracles happen in our family but if we don't I won't be disappointed at all. You see, I know God loves us and He cares for us so much. He loved my family and your family before we even knew Him. It is because of His love for us that He gave His Son, Jesus to the world so that we could have a heavenly home with Him if we would believe in His Son.

We need to always keep our faith and love the Lord. We need to obey Him and keep His commandments. Romans 6:16-17; "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? v.17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you."

As a believer if we give ourselves to sin we will become a slave to sin but if we give ourselves to righteousness we will have everlasting life and be with the Lord.

Can we always expect miracles? Yes, there will always be miracles but that doesn't mean the miracle or miracles will happen to my family or yours but yes, I expect them. I hope that you will also.

Thank you for stopping by and may you know the peace of the Lord. Blessings!

It never ceases to amaze me when God sends a miracle my way. I praise Him every day for the miracle of life! What a glorious life He has blessed us with! Thank you for reminding me of the miracles that God gives us every day. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our own goings on that we forget to 'stop and smell the roses.'

Great post! It really hurts me when people say God does not perform miracles anymore. Yes He does! Every day! Praise God!

Love the new look! :)
