Our Reward

It seems as though sometimes we live our life without giving a thought to the Lord. As long as everything is going okay, what is the need to even think about Him? Well, if we only think about Him when we need Him or want something from Him, why should He bother with us?

One reason He bothers with us is because He loves us very much. That is one reason we should love Him. I John 4:19; "We love him, because he first loved us". God loved us before we ever knew him, and He knew us for what we are. Who could love a better God than God Himself?

Even though He knew exactly what we were going to be He still loved us. We have and are on His mind continually. He knows exactly what we are doing and what we are thinking. He is an awesome God.

People say bad things about Him and go on and on about there being no God. He still loves us anyway, He doesn't like the sin we may be in but His love is still there. He isn't like us humans, we get really angry and wish bad things on people that talk about us.

This is the difference between Christians and non Christians. A Christian will overlook or at least try to overlook what someone says about them and if we can't, who do we go to? No other than the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray for His guidance through this difficult time and to give us the strength to overlook and to forgive the person. I John 4:4; "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world". A non Christian will usually do and feel the way they want to without another thought.

It isn't always easy to keep from thinking and doing something to the one that hurts us but Christians have the Lord to help them. Isn't that awesome, just knowing He is always around to help us with anything we need help with?

What is our reward for being Christ like? Romans 8:17: "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together". What a wonderful reward!

All the sufferings of the present age, our sickness, pain, misery, disappointments, poverty, sorrow, mistreatment, persecution or trouble of any kind is nothing compared to what the blessings and glory we will be given as faithful believers in the time to come. We have so much to look forward to, what a wonderful time it will be. Thank you, Lord.

Thank you for stopping by. Romans 15:33; "Now the God of peace be with you all, Amen".

It's so easy to give God the glory when we are on the mountain top. In the valley, it's another story! I try very hard to always give God glory...in the good times [on the mountain top] and in the bad [in the valley]. I make it a point to always say 'Thank You, Jesus!' when something good comes my way...I'm not sure I always do the same in a trying situation. Thank you for reminding me!
