An Awesome God

The Lord is so good. Have you ever thought about all the things He has done for you? Do you think it has to be something big to be from the Lord? Can it be something small He has done for you? No matter what He does for me I feel it is big.

Debi called Monday to let us know it was cold in our home; she goes out everyday to feed the cats and to check on the house. I don’t know what we would do without her. Thank you so much for being there to help us out, Debi and we love you. We knew we had Tuesday off so we weren’t too worried about it.

On top of that my little poodle, Peaches wasn’t feeling well and I thought I could take her to see the doctor Tuesday. She isn’t young anymore so I have a tendency to be over protective and get a little excited when she appears not to be feeling well but then I do that with all of my pets.

This is where the Lord comes in. We were able to leave Monday night instead of having to wait until Tuesday morning. God is so awesome.

James 1:6; “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed”. When we ask something of the Lord we should ask it in faith. If we have the faith that what we are asking will be done then it will be. If when we ask we allow ourselves to think the Lord may or may not do what we are asking, we are allowing our faith to waver. This Scripture is telling us not to ask with wavering faith.

When we left I just knew Dave would be working on the furnace all night trying to get it fixed. I was praying all the way home for God to let it not be real serious and that it wouldn’t take long to fix it. When praying I just felt at ease. We got home and he started checking the furnace out. The pilot was working so he knew there was gas coming in. He decided to go ahead and check the thermostat out. There was power from the furnace to the thermostat but the thermostat still wouldn’t come on. Because it is a programmable thermostat it has to have batteries for its memory, the batteries had died and the thermostat had lost its memory so it didn’t know what to do. He replaced the batteries and the furnace came on. It took only 15 or 20 minutes to get the furnace to go. What an awesome God. The house was warm before we ever went to bed.

The cats were fine and they don’t appear to have anything wrong with them from the cool house. Peaches was fine Tuesday morning, I have no idea what was wrong with her.

We are back up at the state park where Dave is camp hosting and I am even helping him some. I am sure there is something God wants me to do and I think I am getting to where I will be able to do it. I know He will be helping me and giving me the strength to do it for Him.

God didn’t have to help us but He did. I know He loves us and we have faith He will always be at our side and ready to help when we ask Him. I know He has helped us many times when we were not aware of His help until it was over. He is so awesome and I praise Him for all He does in my life.

Thank you for dropping by, I have enjoyed telling you what the Lord has done and is doing for me. May you always know the love, joy, and peace of the Lord!

I love all the things God does for me. I remember many years ago when I was leading PeeWee Church. On this particular Sunday, my skirt had static SO badly that it just kept creeping up...it would not stay down for anything. Nothing I did was helping. I went to the restroom and prayed. I told God that I could not stand up in front of 85 2, 3 and 4 year olds with my skirt around my neck. I asked Him to please remove the static and let my skirt fall as it should. And, viola'...don't you know that God intervened and the static was gone. My skirt now hung like it should and I was able to go back to my class with no worries! Even silly little things like static in a skirt...God takes care of them. That may not have been a big deal to some, but to me, on that day...it was HUGE. God is so good!! Thank you for this post today. I needed the reminder.

PS: I am glad you are beginning to see the importance of you being at the campground...God DOES have a plan and purpose for you there! Love you!

God is always working in our lives, but sometimes we don't recognize it because it's not something big. I'm glad you were able to see God's hand moving for you. He cares about everything - even the little things.
