Life On Earth

When you have thought about your life here on earth, what do you think? Each of us probably thinks about many different things. I think it probably depends where each of us are in our life. Are we a Christian, a baby in Christ, an adult in Christ, learning more about the Lord, or what do each of us want to be in the Lord? For some this isn’t an easy question to answer.

If we are a Christian, do we really want to do what the Lord wants us to do, do we want to go to church and that is it, or do we want to continue to grow in the Lord? Are you eager to talk to others about the Lord? To be a Christian we should want more of the Lord always. We should never want to stop reading His word, fellowshipping with Him, and by no means should we think we know everything there is to know about the Lord. We will never know everything we should and need to know about Him.

If you are a baby in Christ, are you eager to study and fellowship with other Christians? Do you ask questions so that you can learn? Do you want to go to Sunday school and church? Are you eager to talk to people about the Lord? Do you have fellowship with the Lord daily?

If you are an adult in Christ, do you still want to read and study the Word? Do you still want to go to Sunday school and church? Are you having fellowship with the Lord? Do you still want to learn more about the Lord? Do you share the Lord with others?

Psalm 90:12; “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom”.

The days we have here on earth are numbered. We do not know when our time will come to leave earth. Most of us will seventy to eighty years at least, some will have more and some will have less. No matter how many or how few, it will be few compared to eternity.

We need to be aware of what we are doing. We need to have wisdom on how we live our life each day that the Lord has given us. We need to live this life for the Lord. Did you ever think about this life being lived in preparation for our next life? How we live our life here on earth will determine what our life will be in our next life.

How we have or have not lived here on earth in dedication to God will be evaluated by God. We need to pray for a heart of wisdom and have a righteous fear of God. We also need to have Him in our daily life and work for Him. We need to fellowship with Him.

If we read and study the Word of God we will know exactly what He has to say to us and how we should live our lives. Living our daily life for the Lord, putting Him first, this means before anything else. If we do, everything else will fall in place. This doesn’t mean we will not have any trials and tribulations in our life because we well but who more do we need than the Lord. If for some reason we feel our faith wavering we need to pray for the Lord to help us with our wavering faith. The Lord would rather you ask Him to help you with this than let it continue and perhaps loose it.

Remember how you live your life on earth determines your life after you leave this earth.

Thank for dropping by. May you always know the love, joy, and peace of the Lord!

Even though I have been a Christian for 30 years this month, I still feel like a baby in Christ. Recently I have had a renewed desire to read and study God's word...and I thank Him for that. I had gotten pretty lax in doing so, but now, I feel like I am on track again. Honestly, I always want to feel like a baby in Christ...I want to hunger for His Word and His touch like a baby hungers for his mama! Thank you for reminding me that our time on earth is 'short.'

P.S. Hope you are having a good time! (*smiles*)

I want to become a "mature" Christian, yet always have the desire of a "babe in Christ." Great post!
