Psalm 103:1-8

Psalm 103:1-8

v. 1 “BLESS THE Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name”.

v. 2 “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not the benefits”:

v. 3 “Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases”;

v. 4 “Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies”;

v. 5 “Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like eagle’s”.

v. 6 “The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that is oppressed”.

v. 7 “ He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel”.

v. 8 “ The Lord is merciful, and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy”.

These are things the Lord our God does for us. Do we always show our thankfulness and gratefulness to Him? I believe we become so preoccupied with what is going on in the world that we forget. The first thing in the mornings we need to tell Him how thankful and grateful we are and at night before going to sleep we need to tell Him again and give Him our highest praises.

I don’t always do this, I should be ashamed of myself. He has given me so much so why can’t I remember to do it?

The first and most important thing we can receive from the Lord is forgiveness. If we didn’t believe and ask Him to forgive us our sins we would not be able to look forward to our heavenly home. We need always to give Him thanks and praises for our salvation. I can truthfully say I do remember to do this.

May you always know the love, joy, and peace of the Lord!

I love those verses! You're right, we do become so preoccupied with life that we forget to thank the One who gave us life. God is always worthy of my praise!

I want to always remember to thank God and praise Him. Unfortunetly, I do forget. Something I really need to work hard on. He has greatly blessed me and He deserves the praise! Thank you for this reminder.
