We Should Never Wait
Psalm 32:34; "When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring of the day long. v. 4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah".
David was describing the agony and penalty he felt for concealed sin. This is how we feel at times when we don't want to acknowledge our own sin. Trying to hide our sin can bring a loss of health, our peace of mind, happiness, and favor with God. We will experience guilt and inner torment. This is God's punishment for trying to hide our sin.
God already knows about the sin/s but He is waiting for us to confess them to Him. He wants us to take responsibility of what we have done and ask Him for forgiveness.
Psalm 32:5; "I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah".
When David acknowledged and confessed his sin to the Lord with an honest, sincere, and repentant heart God forgave him. When we acknowledge and confess our sins to the Lord with an honest, sincere, and repentant heart the result will be God's gracious forgiveness, and removal of guilt. We will feel His presence with us once again. Even though we are forgiven we must remember there are consequences to our actions.
When we sin we should always acknowledge it and ask the Lord with an honest, sincere, and repentant heart immediately for His forgiveness, we should never wait. Waiting only makes it worse and our hearts can become hardened.
May you always know the love, joy, and peace of the Lord!

Thank you for this encouragement. I want to forgiven and to be forgiven, I must confess.
This is truly an encouragement. I, too, want to forgive and be forgiven. Why is it that the forgiving part seems so hard sometimes? I don't think Jesus has a hard time forgiving us when we truly repent and confess to Him...I pray that I can be more like that.
Great post. Love you, Mama!
Hello, dear sister!
It will take to have the same attitude of David.
"To be sure, a broken heart in a contrite heart you will not despise."
