Romans 12:2; "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God".
Living for God means we should be seeking and doing the will of Him. We are living in a world that is full of evil that is under the influence of Satan.
We have to stand against the prevailing and popular forms of the world; we have to proclaim the eternal truth and righteousness of God's Word. Despise and hating all forms of evil but instead love all that is righteous. We need to refuse to yield to the different types of worldliness that is around us all of the time such as hate, filthy language, ungodly entertainment, envy, drinking, and immorality. These are just a few as there are many more worldly activities.
Reading the Word of God tells us clearly how He wants us to live and what His will is. Reading the Word tells us what our life style should be. If we are reading His Word we will know we should be seeking His will and doing it. When we do this we are for the Lord. If we want to do the things of the world we are against the Lord.
Which of these do you want to do? As for me I am for the Lord and I am seeking to do His will.
May you always know the love, joy, and peace of the Lord!

Great encouragement! I want to live for Him and earnestly seek Him.
Wonderful reminder...I think about those people that think they are living after God...but in secret they are holding on to something or some things that they know they should let go of.
We all have things in our life that we know we should get rid of but we just don't want to lay them down...however, by not laying those things down we are conforming to the world...a world of deception. After all, God knows we haven't laid them down...even if those around us think we have...God knows we haven't.
God's Word truly tells us how to live...and we need to honor that.
Wonderful post! Love you!
Deane,
I want to live my life FOR God, I want to live a life that is pleasing to Him. When we don't seek Him first the enemy is all too happy to sneak in and whisper those little half truths to us and when are not firmly planted in Him and His word it is easy to believe the lies.
Blessings to you Deane.
