Are You Ready

Are you ready? I am serious, are you ready? The Lord may come today, tonight, tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year. We do not know when He will come, not even Himself, only God knows.

I Corinthians 15:52; "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed".

Are you ready? God doesn't want anyone to perish, He warns all of us in the Bible about all the things to come.

Are you prepared for His coming? If you aren't prepared you will be left behind. Present day believers have no idea when He will come for them, there will no warning before His coming. We should never think it won't be today because it could be. We must believe He will come anytime.

Matthew 24:44; "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh". Jesus is warning us, the church, that we must be ready at anytime. When He returns He will catch up believers from the earth at an unexpected time, He will take us up to where He is. John 14:3; "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am there ye may be also".

Jesus has told us that He will return for His faithful followers so we will be in heaven with Him, to a place He has prepared for us. We will be with Him forever. When He said "receive you unto myself", He is referring to the rapture when all living believers will be caught up together.
All believers must be ready, this means we cannot presume His coming will be at a later time, we just don't know when He will come. Are you looking up toward the sky?
We need to be serving and working for the Lord at all times, not just on Sunday morning, Sunday night, Wednesday night, or when the church doors are open but all of the time. We need to be out talking to people and bringing them to the Lord, the Holy Spirit will help us do this. We need to always help the new believers in Christ to understand the things of the Lord. We also need to keep our relationship going with the Lord, we need to be praying not only for ourselves, our families and friends, but for ones we don't know and yes, even our enemies.

Believe it or not, working for the Lord is fun. You meet new people and the fun part is telling them all about the Lord. God has done so much for all of us and He is still doing things for us. We need to show Him how much we love Him and appreciate all the things He does for us. When you stop and think about it, it is really exciting. Do you like excitement? I do. I am a timid or backward person but there are times when I start talking about the Lord I get so excited and it is hard for me to shut up.

Are you ready for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ? If not, you need to start getting ready as He could come in the next second or minute. We may not have much time left.

Thanks for stopping by. May you always know the love, joy, and peace of the Lord!
