I Peter 5:7; "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you".
God is always concerned about our troubles and afflictions, when we have these we need to cast them upon the Lord. He will take care of us and help us through all of our fears, cares, and concerns. We need not be afraid to give them to Him; He waits for us to call on Him.
Why don't we call on Him at the first sign of distress? Are we afraid to call on Him? Are we ashamed? Do we think it isn't important? Do we think we can handle our problems? These last four questions are some of the reasons why we may not call on Him but these should not be a reason at all for not calling on the Lord.
No matter what our problem is He will help us. He will help us through all things. He waits for us to call on Him. II Corinthians 13:9; "For when we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong..." It is through the Lord's strength we manage to get through our fears, distress, cares, and concerns.
Psalm 34:17; "The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles". This means we are always able to call on the Lord, no matter what our troubles are. We should want to have someone help us in the time of need; we should never want to try to do this alone. With God's help it is sure to be easier to get through them.
I received a phone call late this afternoon about my sister, Barb. She has been in ill health for quite sometime. The Lord knows I am hurting and needing help to get me through this. I praise the Lord I have Him to help me through this. I am thankful for the support of my family as they all know the Lord; they also know the importance of God's will being done.
They have now taken her in for surgery but Rick, one of her sons has said they were not hopeful. I know if it is God's will she will come through this and make a full recovery. I want God's will to be done not mine. She is my last sibling so of course I want the very best for her. I have told the Lord of my request but I also have told Him I want His will to be done. I have comfort in knowing the Lord will take care of Barb as I know He loves her also.
I praise the Lord and am very thankful she knows the Lord and loves Him very much.
May you always know the love, joy, and peace of the Lord!

Aunt Barb has been in my prayers since I heard. Of course we desire for her to be healed and live many more wonderful years. But not our will, God's. I pray that if God chooses to take her home, that He will comfort those of us left behind. And if it is His will for her to stay here with us, than He will touch her body and give the doctors wisdom. I am praying for you as well. Thank you for the reminder that we can cast our cares on Him,
Deane,
Your family will be in my prayers as you continue to lean on Him during this very difficult time. If He chooses to take her home I will be praying for you and your family that He comfort you as you walk the journey through the loss of a loved one. It is hard to be the ones left behind, and if He chooses to take her home, she will be with Jesus, where there is no pain and no sickness, and you will all again see her one day, in paradise.
My prayers are with you.
Mama,
This has definitely been a hard one. I am glad that she is doing a little better and pray that the improvements continue...IF that's God's will. And if He chooses to take her home, I pray that He will comfort all of us that love her so much! I cannot imagine the pain comes from losing a sibling or a parent. I know that unless Jesus returns to take us ALL home, I will likely have to endure that pain someday. I just pray that it is a l - o - n - g time away!
I love you, Mama!
My thoughts and prayers are certainly with you and your family during this anxious time Deane. May God's comfort and healing be with you all.
Have a Blessed Day!
